VIBRATION MEASUREMENTS BY THE PASSAGE OF THE TRAIN/SUBWAY IN BUILDINGS OF FUTURE CONSTRUCTION (BARCELONA)

In a city like Barcelona, fully equipped with an extensive railway infrastructure, the discomfort arising from railway operation as well as the society awareness in this subject is increasing.

During the last months, ICR has carried out different studies with the objective of preventing the vibration generated by the passage of the train /subway in buildings of future construction nearby, in order to be able to determine the level of compliance with the current regulations.

This type of studies are made from vibration measurements, in the three axes, at different points located on the land where the future building will be constructed. The project contemplates the type of basis, the characteristics of the building and the location to make the prediction.
